The bank was closed May 20, 2011 by the Georgia Department of Banking and Finance, which appointed the FDIC as receiver. To protect depositors, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) entered into a purchase and assumption agreement with CertusBank, N.A.
