Fort Belvoir Federal Credit Union Service
I've done business with the Fort Belvoir Federal Credit union since 1985. I can just imagine how much money they have profiteered off of me (I don't want to know). They have been inconsiderate, arrogant, condescending, rude and a flat out awful financial experience.
Making matters worse, last year they sold their credit card out to Atira Credit. These guys are atrocious to work with. When you have problems with one you won't get help from the other. It has taken multiple phone calls, letters, and months just to get responses to simple questions.
If you try to cancel the account with the credit union, they say you can't because you still owe the credit card from Atira (but Atira is a separate company). This just can't be legal; if it is, we need to change some laws.
Meanwhile they have started charging a service fee for an inactive account because I won't use direct deposit with them. Pariah!
If you are military, I recommend USAA. Even though I am retired, I still get treated with the same military courtesy, and I can deposit checks from home using a scanner. Someone told me they used their I Phone.
Be wise with your finances, be selective!
