Awful Credit Union
1 stars - reasons12 - Saturday, February 12, 2011 - 12:08 AM

This bank is absolutely horrible. They have horrible customer service! They constantly are finding ways to charge fees. It's awful. I've been with them for 2 years and I am finally getting out :( I always thought credit unions were suppose to be better than regular banks. Not in this case!

A Wonderful Credit Union!
5 stars - all_about_CUs - Thursday, June 30, 2011 - 1:04 PM

Wow, to hear that Chaffey FCU has fees galore is amazing.  All financial institutions have fees, it’s a fact of life, however credit unions in general typical have less fees and fees that due exist are normally less than what banks charge.  For example, a returned check fee with Chaffey is only $25 were as Banks are now charging $35 or more.  Now for the person that gave a poor rating due to fees, were you responsible in handling your account?  If not then I could see why someone would complain!  Well what I know from personal experience w/ Chaffey is that they are very willing to work with their members and will even reverse or stop fees from recurring if you open the doors of communication. I have been w/ Chaffey for 10 plus years and I’m very satisfied with the service I have received.

Here are a few services that Chaffey offers that are a wonderful thing:

1.     They give their members a 10 day grace period from the day your loan payment is due!

2.     There rates a way better than banks when it comes to Loans, CDs, Savings account and Money Markets!

3.     You do not have to have perfect credit in order to qualify for a loan!

4.     Fees in general are less than Banks!
