Do They Know What They're Doing?
1 stars - UnhappyCamper - Saturday, April 2, 2011 - 2:56 PM

I paid off my car loan in cash.  I called ahead and set an appointment to pick up my title.  The title wasn't ready and I had to drive to their new location to pick it up.  The loan lady was walking me out the door talking to me and I had to actually ask her to give me my receipt back to prove that I had paid my car off.  She let out this loud, uncomfortable laugh like I had just caught her trying to take advantage of me.

On top of that, after I paid off my loan I wanted to close my savings account but was told I couldn't!  "It's only $35.00, why don't you just leave it here?"  I was floored!  That was *my* $35.00 and I wanted it.  A manager actually had to come out to 'approve' closing my account.    ....why??....

So I get to the other branch to pick up my car title and the very young teller says I have to go to the other branch that I had just come from.  In a loud voice I said, "I don't think so" and she literally ran to some office.  I overheard her describing me to a short, stout lady who mysteriously comes out and hands me my title.  I hadn't shown my I.D. to anyone... seems odd to me.

Five years ago I liked this credit union; got a great rate on my car loan.  Trying to get the title was ridiculous!
