5% 9-Month CD at N. Virgina Bank

James Monroe Bank is offering a special 5.00% APY 9-month CD. There are not many details online at the bank's website so I contacted the bank. According to the customer service representative, the minimum required deposit is $5K. There's no specific end date for the special so it may end at any time. Also, you have to visit one of the bank's six branches to open it.

Looks like the special is over. The 5% CD is no longer listed as of Dec 10, 2005.
