4.71% Internet Money Market Account at Zions Bank
May 4, 2006 - 8:17 AM by Ken Tumin
Zions Bank increased the APY on their Internet Money Market Account from 4.50% to 4.71%. This account requires $1K to earn this APY, but there are no monthly fees. The minimum opening deposit required is $100. Unlike most money market accounts, the account lacks check access. However it does offer an ATM card.

Yeah, i'm the guy who posted the deal on the comments board, thanks for crediting me. :)
Anyway, I just wanted to add that Zions offers free checking account that allows you transfer money to/from MMA online and access it thru check writing.
I've been banking with Zions for years now, as they are occasionally leading the pack in terms of MMA rates.
It's a solid old mormon bank :)

Thanks for the info. There are advantages of having both a checking and a high-yield money market account at the same bank. I'll have to keep an eye on Zions.

Just reviewed Zions' checking accounts. That High Yield Checking is a nice deal. Currently it earns 2.94% APY on balances between $2.5K to $20K. The best part is that there are no monthly fees for low balances. Definitely a good account for those who want checks.
