5.75% 9-Month CD at a Georgia Bank

Colony Bank is offering a 5.75% 9-month certificate of deposit. The minimum is $500. They are also offering this rate for a 12-month and 13-month term. A 5% money market account is also advertised but the minimum is $100K. This special is not listed at the bank's website, but was advertised in the May 21st Savannah Morning News. Colony Bank has branches throughout central and south Georgia.
Colony Bank has been offering high yield CDs for awhile. Last month there were advertising a 5.50% 9-month CD.

I spoke with a customer service rep. at Colony Bank this morning. The 9-12 month 5.75% APY CD special promotion is not restricted to Georgia residents. Monthly interest payment option is available. APR is 5.63%

Thanks for checking into this. Looks like it's a large enough bank that it may be able to handle demand from outside Georgia.
