Bronco Federal Credit Union (BFCU) has a special 6% APY 6-month share certificate with a no penalty feature. There's a $10K minimum deposit. You must have a BFCU checking account with direct deposit.
The credit union's field of membership includes residents of the Virginia counties of Greensville and Sussex and the North Carolina counties of Hertford, Halifax and Northampton.
BFCU has branches in the Virginia cities of Franklin and Emporia which are located near the border of North Carolina.
