$50 Checking Account Bonus at a Missouri Bank - Update
Jun 4, 2006 - 2:38 PM by Ken Tumin
The First National Bank of St. Louis is again offering a $50 gift card for opening a free checking account. I had first reported on this deal last February. This latest offer expires 10/31/06. The minimum to open an account is $50, but there is no minimum balance required to receive the incentive. This promotion is not listed at the bank's website. An ad was published in the June 4, 2006 edition of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch newspaper, and is available online here.
The nice thing about this checking account deal is that there's no direct deposit or bill pay requirement. The Free Checking Account has no minimum balance requirements and no monthly fees. However, if you get the debit card, you have to make at least 6 transactions a month to avoid a $2 per month fee. Also, the bank charges $5.95/month for Bill Pay.
The bank has 10 branches in St. Louis and in other Missouri cities.
