Mutual Bank has added some more high CD rates. The bank had been offering a 5.40% APY 18-month CD and a 5.35% APY 12-month CD since April. These remain the same. Mutual Bank is now offering a 5.55% 24-month CD and a 5.60% 30-month CD. All of these certificates except the one year term have a minimum deposit of $5K. The 12-month CD has a $2.5K minimum.
Mutual Bank often has high yields on certain CD terms. Late last year, they had two competitive long term CDs: 5.50% 5-year and 5.00% 30-month. Mutual Bank still offers the Premium Unique Money Market Account which could be useful for those with very large balances. The current APY for balances over $1M is 5.38% APY.
The bank is located in the Chicago area, however, you can open these CDs by mail from any state. Refer to their account opening page.
Mutual Bank is rated 3 out of 5 stars at Bankrate.com (performing).
