5.75% 12-Month / 5.80% 36-Month CD at a Massachusetts CU

Metropolitan Credit Union is offering several high yield CDs. These include a 5.75% APY 12-month CD, a 5.50% APY 9-month CD and a 5.80% APY 36-month CD. All have a minimum deposit of $500. IRA certificates are also available at these rates for terms of 12-months and longer.
The field of membership includes those who live or work in one of the following Massachusetts counties: Barnstable, Essex, Middlesex, Norfolk, Plymouth, Suffolk or Worcester. Membership is also open to employees of over 1,700 companies which are part of the Metro@work program.
Membership enrollment can be done online. An initial deposit of $25 into an account is required for membership.
The credit union has branches in the Massachusetts cities of Chelsea, Burlington, Framingham, Lawrence and Peabody.
The credit union is NCUA insured. It has $634 million in assets and 119K members.

I opened one at Metro today. If you open a premiere package which is $50k min in the CD and a checking account that has no min, no fees and no usage requirements you get a 35 basis point bump on any CD. Not sure how they added that to my 5.75% because the certificate shows my APY as 6.12%. Have done CDs with them in the past and they are very good to work with
