5.76% 3-Month World Savings CD to Start June 26th

I just called World Savings and was told that a new World Savings certificate of deposit special is scheduled to start on June 26th. They'll be offering a 5.76% APY 3-month CD. It'll have the usual terms with $10K minimum and $100K maximum and should run through at least mid July. This sounds like the next in-branch, "secret" CD. The last one was a 5.51% 7-month special which ended on June 3rd.
World Savings currently has an unadvertised 5.61% APY 7-month CD special that requires the application to be done online and then funded with a check by mail or at a branch. Also, there's a 5.31% 5-month CD special that is advertised at their website and must be opened online.

I think the CSR said it's going to be a branch-only special.

Ken, affirmative? I need to call WS locally here in San Francisco.

I called customer service, who said they were pleased to be able to waive the 'walk-in' requirement for a new customer. Product code 833, send explanation, info and check to San Antonio office, per 'Priscilla'.

P.S. Priscilla said that an addendum to the offer is the ability to roll over for another 3 months at the same interest rate.
P.S.S. - Thank you for the fantastic site! Was sitting on some funds wondering what to do with them. (I know - wasting time - time is money - etc.)

someblonde, thanks for the info. That roll-over feature sounds good. 5.76% will probably still be a high rate 3 months from now (unless WS comes out with a new secret 6% CD by then)
