6.00% 60-Month / 5.50% 12-Month CD at a Virginia CU

Apple Federal Credit Union has improved the rates on many of its CD terms. The long term certificates are very competitive. The 48-month, 60-month, 84-month and 120-month CDs have APYs of 5.75%, 6.00%, 6.10% and 6.20%. Also, Apple FCU is still offering the 5.50% APY 50-week CD special that I first reported on last April. The minimum deposit if $500. These long term CDs may be worthwhile to consider when we start nearing the end of rising interest rates.

The field of membership is primarily limited to select employment groups. There is a long list of employers.
