CD Rates Rise at Corus Bank, AmtrustDirect, Netbank

Several banks increased CD rates today. Corus Bank's 6-month CD increased from 5.33% to 5.37% APY, however the 12-month CD APY remains at 5.48%. Corus Bank's money market also had a slight rate increase from 4.91% to 4.94%.

One year CDs are getting closer to 5.50%. AmTrustDirect's 1-year CD yield is now at 5.46% APY, up from 5.41%. Netbank had a large bump on its 1-year CD yield from 5.20% to 5.45% APY.

If you have $15K to invest for a 1-year CD, you might want to consider Netbank. Netbank has a promotion in which you can receive a $100 Visa gift card for opening a 1-year CD with a balance of at least $15K. That $100 adds about 0.67% to a $15K CD rate.
