Peachtree Bank is offering a 6.00% APY 12-month certificate of deposit. The minimum deposit is $500. A 1-year IRA CD is also available at this rate.

Peachtree Bank has branches in the Georgia cities of Duluth, Dunwoody, Lawrenceville and Roswell.

The bank is FDIC insured.

I emailed from their site asking if they accept out of state deposits and received the following reply:-(

"Thank you for your question. The Peachtree Bank accepts deposits from its
market in the Atlanta area."

The 12 month CD is 5.75 as of today 07/24. What happened?
