6.00% 33-Month CD at a Florida Bank.

Peoples First Community Bank is offering a special 6.00% APY 33-month certificate of deposit. The minimum is $5K. It requires customers have or open a Peoples First checking account. The bank does offer a free checking account without minimum balance requirements or monthly fees. This offer ends on July 7th. The special doesn't seem to be listed at the bank's website. It was listed in yesterday's Daytona Beach Newspaper. The ad is available online here.

This bank has been coming out with some competitive CD specials over the last several months. My last report on this bank was in late April in which the bank was advertising a 5.50% 30-month CD.

The bank has branches throughout Central and North Florida including the cities of Jacksonville, Panama City, Tallahassee, Pensacola, Altamonte Springs, Apoka and Kissimmee.
