Wow! Too bad I don't live within their boundaries.

Cmon, these low maximums are a waste of time. OK so you make an extra 50 or 60 bucks. Hardly the stuff of fortunes.

I have a USAA account that gives me a 1% kicker on top of an already decent rate for UNLIMITED FUNDS.

That deal is not so easy to get anymore.

Yes, the $7K limit is restrictive, but for people who are just planning to save a few thousand, this could be a good deal if the credit union is conveniently located. Another good point is that it doesn't seem to require a checking account which is common for these deals.

The 7% for 7 months would provide about an extra $60 over a 5.50% CD.

I saw an advertisement for this 7% 7M in a Local NJ paper. It stated it was available only on 7/22. I went, long long line. They said they would honor a rain check until next Saturday. I don't belive this is an ongoing promo. Maybe someone else can confirm.

Just received this comment in the finding deals post:

"called First financial FCU regarding the 7% 7M $7K special. It ended this past Saturday."
