$15 Online Banking Offer from Bank of America
Aug 22, 2006 - 9:06 AM by Ken Tumin
Bank of America is offering a $15 bonus for enrolling in online banking. The offer ends September 1st. Here's the link to the promotion. You must have a Bank of America checking account to be eligible for the bonus. The money will be directly deposited into your Bank of America checking account by October 31, 2006.
I had done this promotion back in June. I already had a Bank of America checking account and just had to enroll in the online banking. I didn't have to make a payment. The bonus was suppose to be deposited in my checking account by the start of August. When it wasn't deposited, I sent them a message and within a week the bonus was deposited. This is similar to previous deals I've done with BofA. So be sure to follow up with them.
Bank of America currently has a $100 sign-up bonuses for a personal checking and a $50 bonus for a savings account. Refer to this Bank of America bonus post for more info.
Thanks to the commenter who mentioned this latest $15 bonus in the finding deals post.

Hi Banking Guy. I just wanted to say THANK YOU SO MUCH for your blog and all your hard work.
*Today, I opened up a 9 month CD at World Savings bank for 6.01% APY, thanks to you.
*I also have a 3 month 6.00% APY savings account at Dime Savings, thanks to you.
*AND, I have a 5.12% APY account at Presidential, thanks to you. Although I used most of this account to fund my CD.
I don't know HOW you do it, but please continue to do it. You're a researching genius!
Michelle

Scoring these B of A bonuses has been nothing short of pulling teeth for many - long delays, repeated phone calls to clueless reps, screwed up promotion codes, inexplicably unprocessed promotions, and so on. Check out the various posts on the Net.

Michelle, thanks for your feedback.
About Bank of America, like I mentioned in my post, you don't seem to get these bonuses without some work. For this $15 bonus and a previous e-statement bonus, I've had to send them a message. I recommend using their online message system first so you don't waste too much time on the phone.
