CommonWealth Central Credit Union is offering a 5.78% APY 8-month special share certificate. There's a $2.5K minimum deposit requirement.

The field of membership includes those who live or work in Santa Clara County. There are also select employee groups through which you can be eligible. Branches are located in Mountain View, Milpitas, Morgan Hill and San Jose, California.

The credit union is NCUA insured. It has $386 million in assets and 41K members. The credit union also uses ASI to privately insure deposits up to $250K.
