6.00% 12-Month CD at an Arizona CU (Canyon State)

Canyon State Credit Union is offering a 6.00% APY 12-month share certificate. The minimum deposit is $1,000. There's also a 6-month CD with competitive rates that range from 5.60% APY for a $1k minimun to 5.75% APY for a $100k minimum. All CDs are available as both regular and IRA certificates.
The field of membership includes most Arizona residents. Branches are located in Phoenix, Goodyear, Tempe, Tucson and Payson.
The credit union is NCUA insured. It has $148 million in assets and 23,350 members.
Arizona CD Deals
In the last two months, CD deals have been plentiful in Arizona. Arizona State Credit Union started it off with a 6% APY 11-month CD (expired on Sept 23rd). Desert Schools FCU of Phoenix is still offering a 6% APY 14-month CD that's available through 10/17/06 (see post), and Arizona Holsum Credit Union is still offering its 8.30% APY 8-month CD with a maximum deposit limit of $8k (see post).
