Apple Federal Credit Union is offering a promotional 6.00% APY 3-month certificate. The minimum deposit is $500, and the maximum is $500K. It requires money new to the credit union.
Apple FCU also has decent rates on its long-term CDs. Currently, the APY for terms from 48 to 120 months is 5.50%. These are down from June when they were as high as 6.20% APY.
The field of membership is primarily limited to select employment groups. There is a long list of employers.
The credit union is located in Fairfax, Virginia and has additional branches in Centreville, Falls Church, Herndon, Manassas, Alexandria, Springfield, Stafford, Winchester, Woodbridge and Washington, DC.
The credit union is NCUA insured. It has with $860 million in assets and 78,000 members.
