Update on $250 Checking Account Bonus at South Carolina FCU
Nov 30, 2006 - 8:20 AM by Ken Tumin
There are currently several good deals in South Carolina for savers. In addition to the high yield CD's at SAFE FCU of South Carolina (see post), South Carolina Federal is offering a $250 checking account bonus. I had first mentioned this on November 1st, but I thought this promotion was worthwhile enough to mention again. South Carolina Federal's field of membership is open to those in many South Carolina counties. Please refer to my previous post for more info.

For those not squeamish about claiming to worship in a specified location -- see below for link to two Columbia, SC (Richland County) churches where you can listen to Sunday morning worhip online. Don't forget to toss something into the collection plate.

also worth noting that you're eligible to join if you have a family member that's eligible to join, even if they're not actually a member

CAUTION!!!! They will pull a "HARD CREDIT" inquiry on your credit report!!!!
I asked them not to open the account if there is a HARD CREDIT pull. They still pulled it!!!

Hello -
Just an FYI - I tried to open an account in late January and was told that this promotion expired 1/31/07 and that all applications pursuant to this promotion must have been received as of that date.
