Baxter Credit Union is offering a special 5.75% APY 13-month certificate account. The minimum deposit is $500.

Field of membership includes those who live or work in Lake, McHenry, DuPage, Kane or parts of Cook County, Illinois or in Kenosha County, Wisconsin or in Village of Schaumburg, Illinois. You can also be eligible via select employer groups and via family (including extended family). Membership requires a minimum $5 balance in the savings account.

The credit union is federally insured by the NCUA. It's a large credit union with $1.17 billion in assets and 124,254 members.
