$150 Checking Account Bonuses at a New Jersey Bank (Valley National)

Valley National Bank is offering up to $150 in cash bonuses for its Perfect Checking Account. To receive the full $150 does require some work. Here's what is described in the small print:

$50 after 5 checking account transactions; $50 after first direct deposit; $25 after 5 debit card transactions; $25 after 3 online bill payments. Required transactions must be completed within the first 60 days of account opening to qualify for cash rewards and rewards will be credited within 90 days of account opening.

Some other important small print details includes

No monthly service charge for the first 2 years. Thereafter, Perfect Checking Account is subject to monthly service charge of $12 when daily minimum balance requirement of $99 is not maintained. ... Free first order of 120 Deluxe wallet style checks. Cash rewards may be reportable as taxable income.

This looks like it requires a branch visit for new customers. Branches are located in New Jersey and New York. The bank is FDIC insured (FDIC Certificate # 9396).
