APCO Employees Credit Union is offering a 5.55% APY 6-month and a 5.49% APY 12-month certificate of deposit. The minimum deposit is $2,500. See rate table.

Field of membership is primarily based on select employee groups which includes Alabama Power Company, Southern Company Services, and other companies and organizations. Also eligible are family members related by blood or marriage to any APCO member. See site for details. Membership requires a minimum deposit of $25 into your share savings account.

Branches are located in Birmingham, Clanton, Dothan, Hoover,Jasper, Mobile and Trussville, Alabama. The credit union is federally insured by the NCUA (Charter # 62728). It's a large credit union with $1.46 billion in assets and 55,475 members.
