7.15% 5-Month CD at a Georgia Bank - $25K Max (First Citizens Bank of Georgia)

First Citizens Bank of Georgia
First Citizens Bank is offering a 7.15% APY 150 day certificate of deposit to celebrate Dawson County's 150th birthday anniversary. The maximum deposit is $25,000 per household. The minimum deposit is $500. A new checking account is required (They do have a free checking account). This special doesn't seem to be listed at the bank's website. It was published on May 23rd in the Dawson County News. The article is available online here. I called the bank and was told that this special should still be available next week. It does requires a branch visit.

The bank also has high standard rates on its CDs which includes a 5.65% APY for a 12-month term and a 5.50% APY on terms from 18 to 60 months. These rates are also available in an IRA. An extra 0.10% is available on the standard CD rates for checking account customers. The money market account is also not bad for a brick and mortar bank. It has a yield of 5.25% APY for balances over $50K.

It's a small one-office bank located in Dawsonville, Georgia which is about 50 miles northeast of Atlanta. It was just established this March. It's FDIC insured (FDIC Certificate # 58421).

Even though yesterday's poll's status is open, I don't know how to vote. The "vote" button is not showing. Am I missing something?

The poll uses new web standards so you might want to try another browser. Here's the link to that post.
