5.45% 12-Month CD at a Tennessee CU - 5.55% Jumbo (Eastman)

Eastman Credit Union has some competitive certificate rates on terms from 6 months to 24 months. For a $2,500 minimum deposit, the yield is 5.45% APY for terms of 180 to 364 days. For a $1,000 minimum deposit, there's also a yield of 5.45% APY for terms of 1 to 2 years. The yield is 5.55% APY for all of the above terms for a jumbo certificate with a minimum deposit of $100K.

Last Fall Eastman CU had been offering several high-yield CD specials (see post).

Field of membership includes those who live, work or attend school in several counties in the northeast part of Tennessee. Counties in southwest Virginia and Harrison and Gregg Counties in northeast Texas are also included. There's also a long list of Select Employer Groups.

Branches are located in Tennessee, Virginia, Texas, South Carolina and Arkansas.

The credit union is NCUA insured. It's a large credit union with $1.6 billion in assets and over 81K members.
