5.50% 9-Month CD at a Washington State CU (Sound)

Sound Credit Union is offering a 5.50% APY 9-month certificate. The minimum deposit is $500. A Jumbo version of this 9-month CD has a yield of 5.60% APY. Their Jumbo CD require a $100K minimum. See rate table.

Field of membership includes anyone who lives or works in Washington State. The FOM also includes direct relatives of either members or those who would be eligible to be a member. See site for details. Membership requires a minimum deposit of $25 in the savings account.

Branches are located in the Washington cities of Auburn, Lakewood, Olympia, Puyallup, Gig Harbor, Key Center and Tacoma. The credit union is federally insured by the NCUA (Charter # 66331).

Also similar is that anyone in Washington State is eligible to join Harborstone. This easy eligibility seems to be common with many Washington State credit unions.
