$100 Gift Card Checking Account Bonus at a Chicago Bank (Marquette)

Marquette Bank has a checking account promotion (see pdf) which offers up to $100 of gift cards for opening any new personal checking account. The first $25 is awarded for just opening any checking account. $25 more is awarded for direct deposit or any automatic ACH payment. $50 more is awarded when the online bill pay is activated and used to pay at least two unique payees. Checking account must remain open for six months or value of bonus will be debited at account closing. The bonus will be considered income for tax purposes.
Note the promo page has a 2006 date, but a reader has reported being told by the banking rep that this promo is still active. Also, no branch visit is required. However, it appears from their online application, that you can't sign up for this special online. Please contact the bank for more details.
The Totally Free Checking has a $10 minimum opening deposit requirement. It has no minimum balance or monthly fees.
Branches are located in Chicago and its suburbs. The bank is FDIC insured (FDIC Certificate # 16250).
