5.90% 10-Month / 5.65% 18-Month CD at a Georgia Bank (Integrity)

Aug 15, 2007 - 8:40 AM by Ken Tumin

Update 8/29/08: The bank has been closed by regulators. See post for more details.

Integrity Bank has a 10-month special certificate of deposit with a yield of 5.90% APY. The minimum deposit is $1,000. Other competitive yields include a 5.65% APY for the 6 and 18 month term and a 5.85% APY for the 12-month term. The 12-month CD is also available in an IRA.

This bank has been offering high yield CDs for some time now. My last report on them was in January when they were offering 5.75% 6 and 12 month CDs.

Their website states that they do not accept out of state funds. The bank has branches in the Georgia cities of Alpharetta, Roswell, Smyrna and Lawrenceville. All of these cities are just north of Atlanta.

The bank has been FDIC insured since 2000. It has a safe and sound rating of 3 out of 5 stars (sound) at Bankrate.com based on 3/31/07 financial data (it was 4 out of 5 on my last report).
