5.92% 60-Month / 5.61% 24-Month CD at a Maryland CU (Prince George's Community)

Prince George's Community FCU has competitive rates on its long term certificates. The 60-month term has a yield of 5.92% APY and the 24-month term has a yield of 5.61% APY. The minimum deposit is $1,000. It's available as both a regular and IRA certificate.

My last report on this credit union was in February when they were offering a 5.75% 9-month CD.

Field of membership includes those who live, work, worship or volunteer in Prince George's County, Maryland. There's also a few select employee groups. See site for details. A minimum $50 deposit into the share savings account is required for membership.

The credit union is federally insured by the NCUA (Charter # 18271). It has $92.5 million in assets and 12,601 members.
