5.60% 36-Month CD at a Nevada CU (Weststar)
Sep 21, 2007 - 9:39 AM by Ken Tumin
WestStar Credit Union is offering a 5.60% APY 36-month certificate. The minimum deposit is $500. Note, under the rate table, it states that the rates listed are the Full House bonus rates. Without this, the rates are 0.25% less. When I called Weststar last month, I was told that the Full House bonuses are no longer being used, and these rates were available to all members.
The 6% 60-month CD that I mentioned in August post is no longer available.
Membership is primarily based on Select Employer Groups. Companies include those licensed for gaming by the State of Nevada. You can also be eligible if you have a relative who's qualified for membership. Please see their eligibility page for more details. Membership requires a minimum deposit of $25 into the Primary Share Savings Account.
Branches are located in Las Vegas and in Reno, NV. The credit union is federally insured by the NCUA (Charter # 68227). It has $192.0 millioin in assets and 34,333 members.

I asked before but the owner of this wonderful site never answered. Would anyone know whether this site also covers CUs in NYC??? Thanks very much.

Sorry I might have missed your previous comment. About NYC credit unions, I have listed a few of them. To see deals available in New York (including some for NYC), please refer to my New York deals page.
Near the bottom of my weekly summary I include links to the deals for each state.
