$50 Checking Account Promotion at SunTrust Extended

SunTrust has extended its My Cause checking promotion. SunTrust is offering a $50 SunTrust Visa Gift Card when you open a new personal or business checking account. You also have the choice to donate $100 to the charity of your choice instead of receiving the $50 Gift Card. The checking account must be opened by December 31, 2007, and you must accept their Visa Card and make a purchase with it by February 15, 2008.

SunTrust does have a Free Checking Account with no minimum balance requirements or monthly fees. Readers have reported a hard credit pull via Equifax (which can temporarily ding your credit score).

SunTrust is FDIC insured (FDIC Certificate # 867).
