5.50% 7-Month CD at a Mississippi Bank (Citizens National)

Citizens National Bank is having a CD special at its Olive Branch location. The CD has a yield of 5.50% APY and a term of 7 months. The minimum deposit is $5,000, and new money is required. This special doesn't seem to be listed at the bank's website. It was advertised in today's Memphis newspaper. The ad is available online here.

Olive Branch is located just south of Memphis, Tennessee. This special seems targeted only to Olive Branch and not to the bank's other branches. Citizens National Bank is FDIC insured (Certificate # 4993).

Can't find any info on the 5% rate, is this a hoax????? The ad is unattainable!

I talked to the banker, guess what?? He said the ad they posted was from 2007! Hummmmmm. Good Luck ya'll
