Membership is open to anyone who lives, works, or attends school in Georgetown or Williamsburg County. Please see their membership page for more details. Membership requires a $1 fee and a minimum deposit of $25 into your regular savings account.
Branches are located in Georgetown, Andrews, Kingstree and Pawleys Island, South Carolina. The credit union is federally insured by the NCUA (Charter # 60791). It has $59.2 million in assets and 10,313 members.

If you are going to open a CD for 10k or more, to be assured of getting that extra 1%, open two CDs for 5k (or half of your total amount) and pick the opposite team to win for each CD. In this way you would get a combined 6.50% APR rate for 4 months.
