United Methodist Federal Credit Union has some competitive certificate rates. The Jumbo CD rates with a $100K minimum deposit have yields that range from 5.04% APY for a 6-month term to 5.25% APY for a 60-month term. Yields are reduced by 10 basis points for each of the following minimum deposit tiers: $50K, $30K, $15K, $5K and $1K. They also offer a 24-month and 60-month IRA CD with yields of 5.15% APY and 5.25% APY. These have minimum deposits of only $1,000 and $2,500.

Membership is open to clergy, staff and congregations of several western conferences of the United Methodist Church. Please refer to their Membership page for the full details. Membership requires a $5 fee and an initial minimum deposit of $100 in your share savings account.
