5.27% 15-Month CD at a Carolina CU (Carolina Telco).

Carolina Telco Federal Credit Union continues to list a special 15 and 10 month share certificate. The rates have fallen some since my last report in December, but the rates are still very competitive. The current yields for the 15 and 10 month certifcates are 5.27% APY and 5.12% APY. The 15-month certificate has a $25,000 minimum deposit and the 10-month one has a $10,000 minimum.
Membership is open to employees, independent contractors, or self-employed persons, who work regularly in the Telecommunications Services Industry in North Carolina or South Carolina. Please see the credit union's Eligibility page for more details. Membership requires a $1 fee and a minimum $25 deposit into your Prime Share Savings Account.
Branches are located in the North Carolina cities of Charlotte, Cornelius, Gastonia, and Raleigh, and in the South Carolina cities of Columbia, Greenville and Charleston. The credit union is federally insured by the NCUA (Charter # 23494). It has $306.4 million in assets and 34,605 members.
