4.15% 25-Month / 4.05% 7-Month CD at a Missouri CU (American Eagle).

Update 3/8/08: The 25-month CD yield has fallen from 4.20% to 4.15% APY, and the 7-month CD yield has fallen from 4.11% to 4.05% APY. The title has been modified to reflect this change.

American Eagle Credit Union is listing two competitive certificate of deposit specials. The first is a 25-month CD with a yield of 4.50% APY, and the second is a 7-month CD with a yield of 4.25% APY. The minimum deposit for both is $1,000, and funds must be new to the credit union.

The credit union also has some competitive regular CD rates with yields up to 4.20% APY for a 60-month term (4.35% APY for those with the Premier Package). The top IRA certificate yield is 4.36% APY for a 60-month term.

Membership is open to those who live or work in St. Louis, St. Charles, Franklin or Jefferson County, Missouri. There are also other areas and several select employer groups in which you can be eligible to join. Please refer to their About page for the full details. Membership requires a minimum $5 deposit in the savings account.
