4.84% 7-Month / 4.84% 13-Month CD at The Credit Union of Alabama

The Credit Union of Alabama FCU continues to offer a competitive yield on its 7 and 13-month special certficates. The current yield is 4.84% APY which is down from my last report on this credit union in August 2007 when the yeild was 5.88%. Considering the recent Fed rate cuts, these CD rates are still very high.

Field of membership includes those who live, work, worship, or attend school in Tuscaloosa or Pickens County. Membership requires a minimum $25 deposit into a regular share savings account.

The main branch is located in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The credit union is federally insured by the NCUA (Charter # 7476). It has $411.0 million in assets and 43,047 members.
