Update 2/23/08: The rates have gone down. Please check the institution's website for the latest rates.

Dallas Telco Federal Credit Union has some competitive rates on its certificates. The Jumbo certificates have the highest rates which range from 4.60% APY for the 12-month term to 4.85% APY for the 60-month term. These have a minimum deposit of $99,000. The yields on the mini-jumbo certificates ($50,000 minimum) are 10 basis points lower, and the yields on the regular certificates ($1,000 minimum) are 20 basis points lower. The IRA certificate yields have the same yields as the regular certificate yields.

According to the CSR, these rates should remain available at least until next Tuesday when they typically update the rates.

Membership is open to those who live, work, worship, volunteer or attend school in Dallas County. Please refer to their Who-can-join page for the full details. Membership requires a minimum deposit of $25 in the share savings account.

Branches are located in Dallas and Lancaster, Texas. The credit union is federally insured by the NCUA (Charter # 2073). It has $123 million in assets and 20,561 members.
