4.18% 24-Month / 3.98% 14-Month CD at a Florida Bank (Heritage)

Heritage Bank of Florida has some competitive certificate of deposit rates. A yield of 4.18% APY is available for terms from 2 to 5 years. There's also a 3.98% yield for terms of 14 and 18 months. The minimum deposit is $1,000. These are also available in an IRA.

I just called and confirmed these rates are still available. The CSR didn't know how much longer they would last. A branch visit is required to purchase the CD. Branches are located in Lutz, Wesley Chapel and Tampa, Florida. The bank has been FDIC insured since 1999 (Certificate # 35009). It has a 4 out of 5 star rating (sound) at Bankrate.com based on 9/30/07 data.
