Neighbors Federal Credit Union has a special IRA certificate with a yield of 6.17% APY and a term of 9 months. The minimum deposit is $1,500. There's also a special 9-month Jumbo IRA certificate with a yield of 6.43% APY. This has a minimum deposit of $100,000. According to the small print, this IRA special is only available on new IRA funds deposited through 4/15/2008. However, it also states that rates are subject to change. So with yet another big Fed rate cut yesterday, I wouldn't be surprised to see this rate reduced.
The credit union also has some competitive regular certificate rates. Share certificate rates range from 3.82% APY for a 12 month term to 4.07% APY for a 60-month term. Jumbo certificate rates range from 4.07% APY for a 12-month term to 4.33% APY for a 60-month term.
