Liberty Bank for Savings is offering a $110 checking account bonus (see promotion page pdf). It requires that you open a FREEdom Checking account and sign up for at least one direct deposit. You must print a coupon (that's linked in the promo page) and bring it into any Liberty office by June 30, 2008. The $110 will be deposited after receipt of your first direct deposit.
FREEdom Checking requires a minimum opening balance of $50. The first box of checks is free.
Branches are located in Chicago, Illinois. The bank has been FDIC insured since 1939 (Certificate # 29009).

Do you have to visit the branch? And is it required to live there for opening an account?

Please note, you must live in the Chicagoland area to open this account. However, you must print a coupon from the WGN website to be eligible for this offer.
