4.25% 23-Month CD at an Indiana CU (Horizon One)

Update 5/3/08: The yield of the 23-month special CD increased from 4% to 4.25% APY. The title has been modified to reflect this change.

Horizon One FCU is offering a special 23-month certificate with a yield of 4.00% APY. The credit union requires you to have an additional $500 on deposit in one other savings product to quality for this rate. More details are provided at the bottom of the rate table.

Membership is open to those who live, work or worship in downtown Indianapolis. This isn't listed in their Membership page. When this credit union was offering a 6% CD last July, I called the credit union and the CSR informed me of their field of membership. Relatives of members are also eligible. Membership requires a minimum deposit of $5 into the share savings account.

The credit union is federally insured by the NCUA (Charter # 6435). It has $68.0 million in assets and 11,119 members.
