4.15% 15-Month CD at a Nevada CU (WestStar).

WestStar Credit Union is offering a special 4.15% APY 15-month term certificate. The minimum deposit is $500.

My last report on this credit union was last September when they were offering a 5.60% CD.

Membership is primarily based on Select Employer Groups. Companies include those licensed for gaming by the State of Nevada. You can also be eligible if you have a relative who's qualified for membership. Please see their eligibility page for more details. Membership requires a minimum deposit of $25 into the Primary Share Savings Account.

Branches are located in Las Vegas and in Reno, NV. The credit union is federally insured by the NCUA (Charter # 68227). It has $183.5 millioin in assets and 33,267 members.
