3.51% Reward Checking Account at a Missouri Bank (Concordia)

Concordia Bank has a rewards checking account that has a yield of 3.51% APY on balances up to $25,000 (1.01% for above), and ATM fees are refunded if the following monthly requirements are met: 1) 10 debit card transactions, 2) one direct deposit or direct debit, and 3) receive electronic statements. There are no monthly service charges and no minimum balance requirements.

According to the banking rep, they require new customers to come into one of their branches to open accounts. Branches are located in the Missouri cities of Concordia, Laurie and Odessa. The bank has been FDIC insured since 1934 (Certificate # 13788).

Heartland community bank has lowered their rewards checking account interest 5.06% . Still a good rate.

Ouch... That was a big drop. Looks like they just changed it. Hope we don't see drops this big from the other banks. Thanks for the update.

The rate page (dated 9/24/08) states 3.51% APY as top yield. Cap value ($25K?) NOT given...default yield appears to be 0.25% APY. One of those "Call us for details" sites.
