Note, purchases made using your PIN don't qualify. Chase's FAQ has more details on this.
I was a little worried about the following small print "This is an exclusive offer intended only for the Chase Check Card specified in this communication." So I called Chase, and the CSR verified that anyone with a Chase Checking account and a Visa Check Card can qualify for this promotion. I also found this promotion mentioned on this SlickDeals thread. Several people reported trying to apply, but received the following message "We're Sorry. The card you tried to enroll does not qualify for this promotion." One of the posters mentioned that he had to call Chase and ask them to send just a basic Visa Check Card since his current check card was already enrolled in some Chase program.
For those who don't have a Chase Checking account, the $125 checking account bonus that I posted on in February still seems to be available until April 30th.

Finally, a chance to use my Chase check card that I got when I opened my free Chase checking account, which I only did to get the bonus. I registered my check card using the link you provided, and transfered $750 to my Chase checking account, which I will spend over the next couple of weeks to get the $75 bonus. Then I can sock-drawer the check card again. Chase just keeps on giving! Thanks Banking Guy!

FWIW, I told my friends & family about this promotion; everybody was able to register except for those with Basic Checking (free, non-direct deposit) and Access Checking (on ChexSystem).

Consider PayPal as a means to get this bonus. I am transferring money from my Chase Check Card through my PayPal account to my wife's PayPal account.

PayPal deposits will no longer work for meeting the criteria of direct deposit promotions or to waive the monthly service fee. They will now have their own type of transaction and will not be viewed.

Quick update: if you got your Chase Check Card recently (since at least April 26), it does not qualify for this promotion.
Looks like they got saturated with people enrolling and stopped allowing new cards to enroll.

I am enrolled in this account and wanted to check the status of my $25, so I called Chase but they were not aware of this promotion. They transferred me to another number and the other people weren't aware either. Am a little worried why they're not aware. Is it because its a new deal and they dont want everyone enrolling in it so they're being secretive about it? Any evidence that this is not a scam? I did get the promotion notice by post. Will call again during business hours to confirm

You should be able to check your debit card purchase status at www.chase.com/Get25
I've been checking this since I enrolled in April. Once the balance reached $250, I received a $25 credit to my Chase checking account as promised.
I have read that not everyone's Chase debit card has qualified, but if it didn't qualify, it should have mentioned this in the enrollment.

Damn!! I used my check card for single 750 dollar purchase assuming i'll get the entire 75. Guess what, they only pay 25 every time you cross 250. So I wasted 500 that I could have used for 5% cash back on my pnc.

To the last anon, what is this 5% pnc? I can't find any 5% cards from PNC website.
