Freedom Bank is offering a 3.90% APY CD with a 9 and 12-month term. The minimum deposit is $500. This doesn't seem to be listed at the bank's website. It was advertised in today's Bradenton Herald newspaper. The ad is available online here.
A branch visit is required to open accounts. Branches are located in Bradenton, Florida. It's a fairly new bank that was established in 2005 (FDIC Certificate # 57930).

Finding 9-month CD rates over 3.50% is hard these days. The highest 9-month CD yield on my latest rate summary is 3.60% APY at GMAC Bank. There's still a 5% 5-month CD special ($25K max) at a credit union with nationwide availability.
