$100 Checking Account Bonus at Partners 1st FCU

POSTED ON BY

Partners 1st Federal Credit Union is offering up to $100 for opening a free checking account. The bonus is awarded as a two gas cards. The first gas card has a value of $75 and is given when checking account has 3 or more POS transactions and repeat direct deposit of $50 or more (direct deposit must continue for 6 or more months). The second gas card has a $25 value and is given after 3 bills are paid online via 1st Online. Bills must be $25 or more and paid to 3 different merchants. Offer is valid to new members and current members who don't already have a checking account. Checking account must be opened by 8/31/2008, and the transactions must be completed by 9/30/2008.

This promotion doesn't seem to be listed at the credit union's website. It was advertised in the Saturday's Fort Wayne News Sentinel. The ad is available online here.

The credit union is still listing a special Tax Rebate CD with a yield of 5.50% APY for a term of 5 months. However, it has a low maximum deposit of $1,200.

Membership is open to those who live or work in parts of Fort Wayne, Indiana, in Page County Virginia, in Powell and Wayne County, Kentucky or in Cambridge, Maryland. You can also qualify via select employer groups. Please refer to the credit union's Membership Page for more details. Membership requires a minimum deposit of $5 in the savings account.

Since the credit union used to be the credit union for Philips Electronics employees, it has branches in several states around the nation. Since the promotion doesn't seem to be listed at their website but only in the Fort Wayne newspaper, I recommend calling the credit union if you live near one of the other branches outside of Indiana to see if they'll honor this promotion. The credit union is federally insured by the NCUA (Charter # 7688).
