$100,000+ 2.50% APY

My last post on this bank was in April when the bank was offering a 4% 12-month CD and a 3.75% 9-month CD. At that time I was told by their banking rep that they do not do hard credit checks when you open accounts.

A branch visit is currently required, but I've been told they will soon have an application on their website that you can mail in. Branches are located in several California cities including San Francisco, San Jose, Sacramento, Stockton and Fresno. The bank has been a FDIC member since 1977 (FDIC Certificate # 22574). The bank has a 3 out of 5 star rating (performing) at Bankrate.com based on 12/31/07 data.
